Newtemporary is a multidisciplinary studio of Josette Melchor, working in the space between new and next. I collaborate with cities, developers, and cultural organizations to design technology, build immersive experiences, and shape spaces that inspire meaning.

Newtemporary expresses the idea that everything — from culture to technology to place — is always in transition. Everything is new, temporarily. My work embraces that impermanence, designing experiences, systems, and spaces that respond to the evolving rhythms of people, cities, and technology.

Previously at Google, Josette developed the Artists + Machine Intelligence, Placemaking, and Art Curation programs globally and launched the Google Visitor Experience—overseeing 1.5 million square feet of public space.
